Cork have been dealt a significant injury blow ahead of their opening All-Ireland SFC Group 2 clash against Meath, with captain Brian Hurley omitted from John Cleary's matchday squad for the trip to Navan.
On the plus side for the Rebels, Seán Meehan and Maurice Shanley return to the full-back line in the absence of Tommy Walsh (heel problem) and Seán Brady (suspended). Mitchelstown's Cathail O’Mahony comes in for Hurley in the inside line.
Meanwhile, Ronan Jones is the major absentee for Meath at the moment, with Jordan Morris returning to the starting 15 having made a much quicker than expected return off the bench in the Leinster final defeat to Louth two weeks ago.
Throw-in at Páirc Tailteann tomorrow (Saturday) is fixed for 3pm.
