St. Michaels 6-17, Blackhall Gaels 2-09
St. Michaels simply possessed too much fire power for a gallant Blackhall Gaels side in this division 5 semi-final match played in The Deerpark in Carlanstown on Monday evening last.
This game was effectively decided early on as St. Michaels took control with first half goals from Chloe Callaghan (2) and Lauren Reilly (1) helping them to a commanding 3-11 to 2-3 half time lead.
An early goal in the second half from Callaghan put the result beyond doubt, Tegan McCabe and Letoya Lynch added a further two majors and from there the young St. Michaels ladies never looked back and are now looking forward to the division 5 final v St. Marys next Wednesday May 21st.
Incidentally four of their players Chloe Callaghan, Zoe O'Rourke, Eibhlin Smyth and Olivia Sheridan had earlier that day picked up a Leinster medal playing with their school O'Carolan College Nobber. Well done girls.
