St Brigids 2-13 Drumbaragh 0-18
Brigids welcomed Drumbaragh to Ballinacree on Sunday morning in Round 6 of the League for a 10.30 throw in to facilitate all available support to get to Croke Park for the Leinster Final in the afternoon. Both teams gave it their all in a match played at Championship intensity with credit to both teams for their performances in hot conditions. Goals win games is an old saying and it certainly was the case for us as at halftime we were one behind 2-05 to the visitors 0-12.
Brigids really put on a display in the second half tightening down the Drumbaragh attack while taking our chances up front when they presented so when the final whistle went we had held on for a one point advantage on the scoreboard. All our players really stood out in a brilliant performance from our No 1 Dylan Scully with two sensational saves to our No 15 Cian Blake who helped himself to six points in the second half. With the job done our lads then headed on Croker with special guest Big Joe.
