Simonstown were comfortable winners of the Reserve Cup Division 2 final played in perfect conditions at Simonstown. PHOTOS

Jack Melia and Fionn O Hanluain had the home side on the scoreboard first before Brian Duffy opened the visitors account. Duffy doubled his tally soon after and with ten minutes remaining Duleek Bellewstown were in front thanks to a Daniel Scully goal.

Simonstown hit back before the break, half forward James Heaney raising their first green flag and before Thomas Macleod’s short whistle O Hanluain was in for their second to give the team in blue a 2-4 to 1-3 interval lead.

With Oran Meade and Peter Duffy dominating around the middle sector Simonstown took control in the second half. Half back David Kavanagh extended their lead. Jack Collier got in on the scoring before goal number three arrived courtesy of Ben Hoey. Substitutes McKenzie Doyle and Cian Newman added points before the hooter brought proceedings to a conclusion.

After the game Jim Lane along with Pat Hogge and members of the Hogge family presented the Greg Hogge Memorial Cup to Simonstown captain Colin Wickham.
