St Peter’s, Dunboyne 3-14 Seneschalstown 1-13

In the action on the oche, it is said that it’s “Trebles for show and doubles for dough” and that was exactly the case for Dunboyne as they rounded off their Feis Cup group stages campaign with ten points to spare over the Yellow Furze side. 

The foundations for the success were laid in the first half, at the end of which the black and ambers led by 2-13 to 0-05, with the majority of the points accrued via double aces. 

And though their scoring rate dropped off after half time and Cathal Hickey and Alan Mulvany led a spirited riposte by the blue and gold, the locals had enough of a buffer built up to see them home.
