Scoil Mhuire dominated the opening exchanges and were 1-5 to 0-0 up inside ten minutes, Shaun O’Rourke with the goal. Foster was finally beaten when Kian McKeever got in for a well worked goal but the Carlanstown boys replied in style. Points from Ryan Sweeney and Cian Briody were followed by two quick fire goals from O’Rourke and Conor McEntee. Liam McMahon gave Drumconrath some hope with their second goal just before the break as Scoil Mhuire went to their huddle 3-7 to 2-1 in front.
Dylan Clarke gave the eventual winners a great start to the second half with their fourth goal but that was to be their last score of the game as Drumconrath took over. Rylee Irwin kick started their revival with a goal, Ava Hickey kicked four points and with five minutes remaining Tommy Sheerin left a point in it with their fourth goal. Neither side troubled the scoreboard in the last tense five minutes and Scoil Mhuire held on to claim the title.
