The weather held for a bit, but the Puc Fada went ahead with all participants in good order, once they handed over the euros. All were very pleased with their new Puc Fada hats. The buses were loaded and puckers, spotters and referres were transferred to the Hill.
Many of our older competitors were looking forward to the halfway house.
And from there I'd say many slowed up as they made their way through the wet fields hoping to see the lights of the pitch. They knew their journey was over. And they would be greated and treated to a plate of curry or lasagna and even could indulge in a pint or two as they debated over the scores and who would be the winners of each category.
Kilmessan would like to thank all the participants, the spotters and referees. Also John Bradley as always for transferring all from pitch to Hill. To the various land owners for allowing us to cross their fields. To the stewards at various locations. To our Halfway House staff. The various camara people taking photos. To all that helped with the catering and the bar staff. To our coarse design team. To the lads who also got equipment and other essential gear for the Hill. To the lads on the Hill for setting off the competitors on their journey. Also the registration team who set up all participants on day. To the scoreboard people for logging scores etc. An finally to the Camogie team for decorating the hall is such colour.
Thanks to Jim Harlin and Dee Donohoe for presenting the various trophies and Jim doing M.C.
To our sponsors of various items.
Also it was great to have TG4 present to see what a small community can do.
