Kilmessan's Conor Gorman

Kilmessan 1-13 Kiltale 0-13

It was a weekend to remember for Kilmessan Hurling Club. On Saturday their 3rd string got the ball rolling with a 0-12 to 1-8 win over Na Fianna in the Junior B semi final. A few hours later their seniors made light work of Killyon to advance to the last four in the race for the Jubilee Cup. Yesterday morning the clubs junior squad made it to the county final with a goal to spare over Kiltale at Boardsmill.

A goal from Conor Gorman, coupled with some fine goalkeeping from Sean Power, in the opening half proved to be the crucial score. Kilmessan went in at the break 1-6 to 0-6 in front.

Kiltale tied the game up at 0-10 to 1-7 midway through the second half but the accurate Gorman from frees kept Kilmessan ticking over and they advanced to the decider against Drumree with three points to spare.
