Goals were key as Kilmallock made it two wins from three in the Limerick SHC last night.

Oisin O'Reilly scored 2-2, while Shane O'Brien and Phelim O'Reilly also raised green flags in a 4-17 to 1-18 victory for Peter Queally's charges over Ahane in Rathkeale. Former Clare football star Gary Brennan netted in the first half for Ahane who trailed by 1-8 to 3-10 at the break.

After losing their opening game to championship favourites Doon, Kilmallock have now registered back-to-back wins over Mungret and Ahane ahead of their Round 4 meeting with Na Piarsaigh.

Ahane also defeated Mungret in Round 1, but have since lost to big guns Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock.

Meanwhile, Bruff continued their fine form in the Limerick Premier IHC with a 2-18 to 1-12 defeat of Glenroe at Knocklong last evening.
