The late Dan Breen celebrates another Kilmainhamwood win

Sad to report the passing of former Kilmainhamwood stalwart Dan Breen.

His club have paid tribute to their much loved resident on their social media pages.

There is great sadness in Kilmainhamwood today with the news of the death of Tipperary native and much loved Kilmainhamwood resident Dan Breen.

Dan married local girl Rose-Ann Farrelly (deceased) and came to live in Senator Farrelly Avenue. For over 40 years Dan has been closely associated the Kilmainhamwood GFC.

As a player a referee a selector a mentor he has served the club with distinction at every level.

He was a player on the 1982 championship winning team and was a huge influence on the development of the great Keegan Cup winning team of the nineties.

Kilmainhamwood GFC would like to express their deepest sympathy to the Breen family Sharon, Louise, Tracy, Debbie and Danny at this very sad time.

Funeral details

Reposing at his home (A82XE98) on Saturday, 27th April, from 4pm to 8pm and on Sunday 28th April, from 4pm to 8pm. Dan’s Funeral Mass will take place in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Kilmainhamwood, on Monday, 29th April, at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
