A very popular figure around the town, Oliver Allen, 26 Mulholland Avenue passed away on Monday, October 1st, 2012. Ollie worked for the CIE and then ran The Ascot Bar on The Ramparts, which was a well-known venue amongst sporting enthusiasts. Particularly renowned in soccer circles, Ollie also played gaelic football for Kilkerley Emmets.
