The death took place on Sunday September 12, 2009 of George Carolan, Drakestown, Smarmore, Ardee. George lined out for Hunterstown Rovers and was goalkeeper on the JFC-winning team of 1959. Half a century on, that '59 medal was amongst the gifts brought to the altar by George's grandchildren at his funeral.
