The entire communities of Ardee, Drogheda and beyond were stunned, shocked and saddened in November, 2012 when news spread that John 'Beachy' McCreanor had passed away suddenly in his De La Salle home. A brilliant rugby player with Boyne RFC, Delvin RFC and Ardee RFC, 'Beachy' also represented Hunterstown Rovers with distinction in gaelic football.
