A former teacher at St Patrick's Boys NS in Drogheda in the 1950s and '60s, Donegal native James McBrearty was a very popular member of staff. He invested a lot of effort into sport, including Louth Schools football - this at a time when the Wee County were a premier force in Leinster and Ireland.
