Peter Martin passed away at his home, 11 Williamstown Place, Dundalk, on December 11th, 2016. An exceptional athlete, he ran in cross-country races all his life and was chairman of Mountpleasant AC. He played a key role in getting many young people involved in sport and was also a member of the Dundalk Gaels GAA club, where he trained juvenile teams. Born in 1929 and one of nine children, Peter was also a great family man and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
