Thomas 'Major' Callan from 10 Church View, Dunleer, who died on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016, was honorary president of Lannleire GFC and a former club chairman. He lined out in the full back line on the first Lannleire side to win a County Board trophy - the Rannafast Cup in 1953. As well as representing the club with distinction on the field of play and at committee level, Thomas was also one of its greatest supporters.
