McCormack and Morrison in line for Cork U20 and minor jobs

Fergal McCormack and Kieran Morrison, members of Cork’s 1999 All-Ireland SHC winning team, are set for new roles in the county’s underage hurling set-up.

Mallow naïve McCormack has been recommended for a two-year term as the Rebels’ U20 manager, while St Catherine’s man Kieran Morrison is in line for a one-year term, with an option for a second year, as minor boss.

Both men were part of the Cork side that lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup in 1999.

McCormack managed the Cork minors in 2025, guiding them to Munster success, while Morrison has been involved with the county’s development squads since working with this group at U14 level.

The recommendations will go before the county board for ratification on October 6th, with details of their respective backroom teams will be confirmed at a later date.
