Roscommon forward Daire Cregg has had his appeal against the red card he received against New York rejected by the GAA’s Central Appeals Committee.
The CAC heard Cregg’s case on Thursday night and have since decided to uphold the one match ban after the Boyle clubman was cited for using his elbow during the Connacht SFC quarter-final clash in The Bronx.
Having also had his suspension upheld by the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) earlier in the week, Cregg’s last available avenue to have his red card overturned ahead of the Rossies’ provincial semi-final against Mayo this Sunday is to take his case to the Disputes Resolution Authority.
It remains to be seen if he will take his case to the DRA, but, as it stands, he is currently suspended for the MacHale Park clash.
