Fitzgerald brings Galway duo on board

Laois hurling manager Tommy Fitzgerald has added Galway duo Jeffrey Lynskey and Tony Óg Regan to his backroom team ahead of the new season.

Lynskey, who will take on the role of coach support / selector, is a three-time All-Ireland MHC winning manager with the Tribesmen, who has been linked with the Galway senior post in the recent past. Former star player Regan comes on board as performance coach, having previously worked with both Limerick and Offaly.

Completing the new-look backroom team are Tipperary’s Aidan Stakelum, Andrew Kavanagh from Rathdowney/Errill, who double up as coach / selectors, S&C coach Paddy Quinlan, lead analyst Evan Dunne and goalkeeping coach Joe Keane. Niall Corcoran recently stepped down from his role as coach / selector to join Derek Lyng in neighbouring Kilkenny.

Laois GAA have also confirmed their senior football, U20 hurling and football, and minor hurling and football management teams for 2026. Justin McNulty continues as senior football boss, Derek Delaney is U20 hurling manager, Kieran Kelly is U20 football manager, while Brendan Phelan and Dave McGrath will take charge of the minor hurlers and footballers respectively.
