While the GAA has yet to publish its Allianz Football and Hurling League fixtures for 2023, most inter-county managers already know their order of games and are planning accordingly.
According to the provisional list sent to county boards - the list is subject to change - Kerry will open their Allianz Football League defence away to Donegal on Sunday, January 29. On the same weekend, All-Ireland runners-up Galway will make the short trip to Mayo for what will be Kevin McStay's first competitive game in charge of the Green and Red.
In Division 2, Colm O’Rourke’s first competitive game as Meath boss will be against Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on January 29.
The Allianz Hurling League gets underway on the weekend of February 4-5, with All-Ireland champions Limerick away to Wexford.
