Killinkere GAA in Cavan marked the one-year anniversary of the death of their former captain Lewis Fay-Cooper by having a walk in his honour this past weekend.
Twelve months ago, the club was left devastated by Lewis’s tragic passing at just 23 years of age.
He had led Killinkere to a first JFC title in 47 years some seven months previous and represented his county at minor level, starting at corner-back in the 2015 Ulster MFC final against Derry.
This past weekend, Lewis’s family and friends invited people to take a walk in his memory and the memory of all the loved ones lost over the past year.
A mass in remembrance of Lewis was also held yesterday morning and broadcast live on broadcast live on 92.7fm.
Please take a photo of you and your family on the walk and share with everyone on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram & tag Killinkere GFC in the post.
