Owens returns to K/K as Hogan takes over Rynagh's

There have been a couple of high-profile managerial appointments on the Offaly club hurling scene in recent times.
Danny Owens has reprised his role as Kilcormac/Killoughey manager after a four-year lapse. The 1981 and ’85 All-Ireland winner led his home club to a three-in-a-row of Sean Robbins Cups in 2012, ’13 and ’14, and also guided them to an All-Ireland club SHC final appearance in 2013.
Owens, who takes over from Offaly’s 1998 All-Ireland winning goalkeeper Stephen Byrne, managed Camross to Laois SHC glory last year.
Former Tipperary goalkeeper and manager Ken Hogan, meanwhile, has taken charge of St Rynagh’s, having previously had spells in charge of Coolderry and Birr. Coolderry reached the 2012 All-Ireland club SHC final under his guidance, only to lose to Loughgiel Shamrocks.
In football, last year's SFC runners-up Ferbane have appointed former Laois All-Ireland minor winning manager Sean Dempsey as their new manager in succession to Padraig Egan.
