Kit Henry has been named as the new Louth ladies football manager.

The Cortown, Co. Meath native, who replaces Wayne Freeman in the role, outlined his plans to delegates following his ratification at last night's Louth LGFA meeting in Darver. The Wee County currently operate at intermediate level, but are eager to move up the ladder.

Henry has managed a number of men's club teams in Meath as well as Mattock Rangers and St Kevin's in Louth. He has also been involved with Meath development squads and managed the Royal County's junior footballers. This year, he was in charge of the Meath ladies minor team that lost the Leinster 'A' final to Kildare in Kinnegad.

Martin Rice was also appointed Louth ladies football minor manager at the meeting.
