Ciaran Sheehan is joining Keith Ricken's Cork minor football management team next year.

The 2010 All-Ireland SFC winner's appointment was rubber stamped at last night's county board meeting in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Sheehan, who previously served as an U20 selector, replaces John McNulty in the set-up.

The Éire Og clubman was a regular in the Cork attack from 2010 to '13 before having two spells in the AFL with the Carlton Blues. He will now work alongside Ricken, who is continuing as manager for a third season after leading the young Rebels to All-Ireland glory this summer.

Last night's meeting also ratified Kieran Morrison as Cork minor hurling manager and Fergal McCormack as U20 hurling boss for 2027.
