Love Island hopeful steps away from Galway football panel

Sean Fitzgerald has left the Galway senior football panel after being shortlisted for Love Island.
RTÉ is reporting that the 25-year-old has travelled to Majorca where he is in contention to make an appearance on the hit ITV dating show, which will be broadcast from June 1. Fitzgerald has a large following on TikTok and Instagram, and lined out at full back in Galway’s Connacht SFC semi-final win over Leitrim last month.
However, he wasn’t included in the panel for the Connacht SFC final defeat to Roscommon or the standby squad. The Bearna clubman won an All-Ireland U20FC medal in 2020 before graduating to the Galway senior football panel two years later.
The Tribesmen are back in action this Saturday evening when they face Kildare in Round 1 of the All-Ireland SFC at Pearse Stadium.
