St Eunan's join Gaoth Dobhair in Donegal SFC last four

St Eunan’s secured their place in the semi-finals of the Donegal senior football championship after overcoming Dungloe on a 1-18 to 0-18 scoreline at Sean MacCumhaill Park last night.

In what was a repeat of the 2024 decider in the Tir Chonaill County, a blistering opening half put the Letterkenny side firmly in control, with Eoin McGeehin finding the net as they established a 1-14 to 0-4 advantage by the break.

Dungloe refused to surrender and came out with renewed purpose after the restart. They chipped away at the deficit and put St Eunan’s under significant pressure during the second-half.

The large half-time cushion ultimately proved decisive, though, as St Eunan’s managed the game well enough in the closing stages to secure their passage to the semi-finals.

They now join Gaoth Dobhair in the last four of the Dr Maguire Cup race, with the 2018 winners having defeated Sean MacCumhaills by 1-18 to 1-15 in Letterkenny yesterday afternoon.

Meanwhile, holders Naomh Conaill met Kilcar in Ballyshannon at 2.15pm this afternoon before St Michael's take on Glenswilly in Letterkenny at 4.30pm.
