Kingspan Breffni is set to reopen its gates to supporters tomorrow evening (Friday) as the Cavan senior football championship quarter-finals get underway this weekend.
The return of championship action to the Cavan Town venue comes weeks after a major fire forced the stadium to close and saw a number of fixtures moved to alternative grounds around the county.
The blaze broke out in the kitchen area of the stadium shortly after midnight on August 28th, following the conclusion of the SFC tie between Crosserlough and Laragh United. Fire crews attended the scene and the fire was extinguished, with no injuries reported.
Earlier this week, Cavan GAA released its championship fixtures for the weekend ahead, confirming that all four SFC quarter-finals will be held at Kingspan Breffni while the junior championship semi-finals are also set to be staged at county grounds.
