Antrim’s senior footballers are set to be without Paddy McBride and Conor Small for the remainder of their season with the news that both players have stepped away from the panel.

BelfastLive.co.uk reports that the pair have departed the squad in the wake of the team's Allianz League defeat to Tipperary last Sunday.

Mark Doran’s side have suffered defeats to Carlow and Tipp from their first two outings in Division 4 of the Allianz League this season.

McBride, who had committed to a 15th season with the Saffrons at the start of the year, had been named to start against the Premier men, but was instead brought on as a substitute for the last 20 minutes of the team’s 1-13 to 1-9 defeat in Moneygall.

The Glensmen's next league outing is against Longford at home on Sunday week, February 15th.
