The death took place over the weekend of the legendary Tyrone footballer and manager Jody O'Neill.
The Coalisland Fianna clubman had the distinction of being the first Tyrone captain to lift the Anglo-Celt Cup in 1956 at the age of just 19. He won a second Ulster SFC medal the following year and repeated the feat as manager in 1973. Jody had two spells as manager, including eight games as player-manager at the tail end of the 1960s.
He also managed the Red Hands to an All-Ireland JFC title in 1968 and was part of the Ireland management set-up for the first Compromise Rules series against Australia in 1986.
A top-class midfielder, Jody also won five Railway Cup medals with Ulster and was inducted into the Tyrone GAA Hall of Fame in 1990.
