One of the good news stories of the past week was the return of former Kerry underage star Sean O’Leary to action after he was seriously injured in a car crash 18 months ago.

The Kilcummin player was left with two broken legs following the collision near Abbeyfeale in Limerick. A promising defender who won All-Ireland MFC and All-Ireland club IFC medals in 2017 and ’19 respectively, Sean was called into the extended Kerry senior squad in early 2021 by then manager Peter Keane, just before his world was turned upside down by the accident.

But he has since made a miraculous recovery and lined out for his college UL last week.
