All-Star defender and Young Footballer of the Year Oisin Mullin is said to be an injury doubt for Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Dublin, according to reports.
The Connaught Telegraph’s website is reporting that “informed sources” have told them that Mullin has suffered a quad strain which could rule him out for the clash with the Dubs at Croke Park this weekend.
If indeed ruled out, the Kilmaine clubman’s loss would come as another huge blow to Mayo boss James Horan whom had already lost star attacker Cillian O’Connor before the start of the championship, having sustaining an Achilles tendon injury during a National League encounter with Clare in mid-June.
Also on the injury-list recently was full-back Padraig O’Hora (rib) and while he returned to training recently, it is not thought that the Ballina Stephenites man will be fit to face the All-Ireland champions this coming Saturday.
