Edendork made history last night (Friday) by claiming their first-ever Tyrone senior football championship title with a dramatic 1-14 to 1-13 victory over Errigal Ciaran at O’Neill’s Healy Park.

Goalkeeper Niall Morgan proved the hero, landing a magnificent two-point free from 45 metres deep in stoppage time to secure a famous win and spark jubilant celebrations as the St Malachy's club edged one-point victory in the replay in Omagh.

Darren McCurry led the scoring for Edendork with 1-6, including a first-half penalty that helped his side overturn an early deficit. However, the contest remained finely balanced throughout the second half, with Peter Harte and Errigal Ciarán pushing Edendork to the limit.

Harte briefly edged Errigal in front late on, but Edendork refused to yield. Morgan’s sensational late score (watch it below) sealed a landmark triumph after 94 years as a club.

Edendork now turn their attention to the Ulster club SFC they'll will face newly crowned Down champions Clonduff.
