Arva (Cavan) are All-Ireland club junior football champions after producing the second-half goods to down Listowel Emmets (Kerry) by 0-13 to 0-10 at Croke Park this afternoon.
Finbar O’Reilly’s men came from 0-7 to 0-4 down at half-time to win out by the same margin, with captain Ciaran Brady, midfielder partner Tristan Noack Hoffman and ace attacker Kevin Bouchier all coming up big for them after the change of ends.
It was points from Sean Kane (free), Eddie Healy and David Keane (2 frees) that saw the Kerry and Munster champions the more likely side come the halfway stage at headquarters.
Brady and Bouchier sent over points early in the restart however and it got Arva motoring, as they eventually hit the front again on 43 minutes through their inspirational skipper Brady.
Keane levelled for Listowel but the points of Bouchier (2 frees) and Conal Sheridan put O’Reilly’s side back on the right path and, in the end, scores from Peter Morris, Bouchier (free) and Brady put a seal on their All-Ireland triumph.
