Frank Burns says Tyrone “are far from safe” in Division 1 with two rounds remaining in the Allianz Football League.

The Red Hands scored a crucial 1-15 to 2-9 victory at home to holders Kerry last Sunday and now face derbies against Monaghan and Armagh, respectively, to try and hold on to their top tier league status.

Burns, who lined-out at right half-forward against the Kingdom, says there’ll be nothing easy about those two closing games of the campaign.

“We’re still not safe, we’re not celebrating yet. We got the win and that’s what we came here for,” the Pomeroy native told BelfastLive.co.uk.

“We are out again in two weeks and we are far from safe still. It is all to play for. Two Ulster teams to finish - Ulster is probably the most competitive province there is.

“There’s going to be nothing easy. We’ll get back to training - there’s plenty of areas of improvement. That will be the focus going forward.”
