Kerry aren’t happy with having to play Saturday afternoon’s All-Ireland MFC quarter-final against Kildare in Kilkenny.
The game forms part of a double-header with the Dublin v Cork quarter-final at UPMC Nowlan Park, much to the Kingdom’s dissatisfaction given that some of their players face a four-hour journey to the venue which Kildare chose as their ‘home’ ground for last Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC Round 2 encounter with Dublin.
Kerry tried to get the game moved to Thurles, only to be turned down.
The other two quarter-finals between Mayo and Monaghan and Derry and Galway are also being played as a double-header in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday evening.
