Armagh GAA have provided a positive update on the condition of a steward who required medical assistance after Saturday's dramatic All-Ireland SFC win over Westmeath at the Box-It Athletic Grounds.
Players and supporters were asked to leave the pitch immediately after Kevin Crossey took ill in the control room. The pitch was cleared in case an air ambulance was needed, but the steward was removed to hospital by ambulance instead.
In a statement issued last night, Armagh GAA wished Kevin a speedy recovery and thanked the medical personnel for their efforts as well as the supporters for their cooperation.
“We would like to wish our volunteer steward Kevin Crossey a speedy recovery after he took ill following yesterday’s game in the Box-It Athletic Grounds,” the statement read.
“We can’t thank the medical team, volunteers and all those who assisted enough for the care and attention they provided Kevin."
