Despite losing the services of county captain Fionn Fitzgerald to a red card in the 20th minute, Dr Crokes have retained the Kerry Senior Club Football Championship title.

The Killarney outfit got their hands on the silverware thanks to a 1-18 to 1-8 win over Dingle at Austin Stack Park today.

12 players made the scoresheet for the Killarney outfit who turned around for the second-half with a 0-13 to 1-4 lead.

Fitzgerald got them off the mark with a point in the 5th minute but he was sent for an early shower 15 minutes later.

Tony Brosnan and Colm Cooper hit 0-4 and 0-3 respectively in the opening period while Gavin White applied the gloss to their victory with a stoppage time goal.

Dingle also finished with 14 men after Breandán Kelliher was shown a second yellow card late on in proceedings.

Black cards picked up by Barry O'Sullivan, 19th minute goal scorer Mikey Geaney and Micheal Flannery also undermined the Dingle challenge.
