The Limerick senior hurling championship knockout line-up is now set following a dramatic final round of group fixtures last night (Thursday).
Na Piarsaigh secured their place in the semi-finals alongside Kilmallock, while Doon, Monaleen, Mungret St Paul’s and Adare will contest the quarter-finals.
Na Piarsaigh joined Kilmallock in the last four of the John Daly Cup race following a 2-21 to 2-18 victory over Ballybrown in the final group round.
Doon and Monaleen also secured quarter-final places from the top tier, with Ballybrown and Ahane exiting the competition. Ballybrown missed out by just three points on scoring difference, while Ahane's relegation was confirmed following a heavy defeat to Doon (2-29 to 1-14).
In Group 2, Mungret St Paul’s and Adare claimed the remaining quarter-final spots. Mungret maintained their 100 per cent record with victory over Garryspillane (2-23 to 2-15), while Adare progressed despite a 1-23 to 0-16 loss to Newcastle West.
Patrickswell, despite recording a third win, were eliminated on scoring difference, while Kildimo Pallaskenry's relegation was confirmed by the 3-27 to 2-13 defeat.
The quarter-finals will take place on September 26/27th, with the semi-finals down for decision on the weekend of October 10/11th.
