A potential fixture clash for Coolera/Strandhill ladies and men's football teams on Sunday week has been averted following a change to the original throw-in time schedule.
It was confirmed yesterday that the Connacht ladies intermediate championship semi-final between Coolera/Strandhill and St Barry's, Roscommon on October 26th will now throw-in at 11am rather than the 1pm slot it was originally pencilled in for.
The earlier throw-in time means that supporters of the Ransboro club will now be able to attend both the ladies’ provincial semi-final and the Sligo senior football championship final replay which sees Coolera/Strandhill facing Shamrock Gaels in Enniscrone at 3pm that day.
The latter game marks the second year in-a-row that the Sligo SFC final has gone to a replay, with Coolera-Strandhill hoping for a similar outcome to last year when they defeated St Molaise Gaels at the second attempt.
