Donegal CCC has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the abandonment of an U21FC match last weekend.

Donegal Live is reporting that the game between Burt and Urris in Hibernian Park was abandoned by referee Janey McCauley midway through the second half after she was verbally abused. Burt were leading by 12 points when the Moville match official called a halt to proceedings.

Donegal CCC will examine the referee’s report before deciding what action - if any - will be taken.
