Brian Hogan has returned to the Tipperary senior hurling fold ahead of the 2026 season.

The 2019 All-Ireland SHC winner and All-Star goalkeeper is a notable addition to Liam Cahill’s training panel, as per the Nenagh Guardian. Hogan’s return after three years aboard will provide competition for Rhys Shelly, who won an All-Ireland medal and All-Star in his first season as No. 1 and the Lorrha clubman’s namesake, Barry Hogan.

In all, there are 15 new additions to the extended panel which will be cut before the first round of the Allianz League. Among the new faces are seven of this year’s All-Ireland U20 champions, namely Mason Cawley (Nenagh Eire Og), Adam Daly (Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams), Joe Egan (Moycarkey/Borris), Cathal English (Father Sheehy’s), Tom Delaney (Borris-Ileigh), Cathal O’Reilly (Holycross/Ballycahill), and Adam Ryan (Arravale Rovers).

Moyne-Templetuohy’s Conor Bowe is a surprise absentee from the panel after featuring against both Limerick and Cork in this year’s Munster SHC. Kieran Cummins (Moycarkey/Borris), Gavin O’Halloran (Carrick Swan) and Danny Slattery (Clonoulty/Rossmore) are not involved either.

A hugely successful year for the Premier County culminated in the presentation of All-Ireland medals by GAA president Jarlath Burns to their senior and U20 hurlers in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh last Sunday night.
