Tyrone’s appeal to the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) over the red card issued to Conn Kilpatrick last weekend has been rejected.

It means that the Red Hands’ midfielder will miss today’s Allianz League Division 1 second round clash against Ulster champions Derry at Celtic Park (3.45pm).

Kilpatrick received a straight red card in the second-half of last weekend’s league opener against Roscommon after a high challenge on opponents David Murray.

After his one-match ban was proposed by Central Council, the proposal was upheld by the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) on Thursday night and another appeal against the suspension would be rejected by the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) on Friday night.

RTE Sport reports this afternoon (Sunday) that Tyrone went to the DRA with the case and their application for interim relief was refused.
