The Kildare SFC and IFC finals will be played as a double-header at Netwatch Cullen Park on October 22.

The finals are moving to Carlow due to the unavailability of St Conleth's Park which remains closed for redevelopment works. It comes after Kildare were forced to play their 'home' All-Ireland SFC games against Dublin and Monaghan this summer in UPMC Nowlan Park and Glenisk O'Connor Park respectively.

Last night's county board meeting also approved the appointments of former county stars Brian Lacey and Ronan Sweeney as selector and forwards coach respectively, while former Louth and Meath coach, and current Silverbridge manager Colm Nally, is also joining Glenn Ryan's senior football backroom team as coach / selector.

Lacey replaces Dermot Earley who has taken up a position with the UN in Brussels, while Johnny Doyle and Anthony Rainbow are continuing as selectors.
