St Finbarr’s and Nemo Rangers will meet in a repeat of last year’s Cork Premier senior football championship final after coming through their respective semi-finals on Saturday.
Reigning champions St Finbarr’s defeated Clonakilty 2-12 to 0-16, with first-half goals from Ricky Barrett and Thomas Egan proving decisive in a closely contested encounter.
The other semi-final clash at Pairc Ui Chaoimh saw Nemo Rangers book their place in the decider with a narrow 1-15 to 0-16 victory over Carrigaline.
Mark Cronin’s penalty in the second-half proved crucial before Dara O’Sullivan added a key score as Nemo held on to reach another county final.
Carrigaline pushed hard in the closing stages, with Brian Coakley landing a two-pointer to keep their hopes alive. However, Nemo held firm to set up another showdown with St Finbarr’s as they look to reclaim the county crown.
