The Camogie Association has released the draws for this year’s Glen Dimplex All Ireland Camogie Championships.

The championships will commence on Saturday 25th May and will culminate in the All-Ireland Premier Junior, Intermediate and Senior Championships in Croke Park on Sunday, 11th August 2024.

The Senior Championship will see Cork look to defend their crown and make it back-to-back titles in Group 2 as they take on 2021 champions Galway. They will also need to overcome Clare, Down, Dublin and Wexford who will be looking to make an impact in the 2024 Championships. Group 1 of the Senior Championship promises to be an exhilarating one, with beaten 2023 finalists Waterford meeting 2022 winners Kilkenny and the newly promoted Intermediate champions Derry. Waterford will also meet close rivals Tipperary again after a hugely exciting 2023 semi-final which saw Waterford steal a place in the final by overcoming their powerful opposition by just one point. Antrim and Limerick will also look to build upon their 2023 campaign by making their mark in the group.

The Glen Dimplex Intermediate Championship provides some potentially thrilling clashes. In Group 1, Clare will do battle and look to impress in the group after their promotion from the Premier Junior grade in 2023. They will have to bring their A-game to see off last year’s quarter finalists Wexford and Cork and the 2022 Intermediate champions Galway. Westmeath will try to make it one step further by reaching this year’s final following their four-point defeat to Meath in 2023’s gripping semi-final. Offaly will push to regain their senior status this year after their senior relegation in 2023. Group 2, which features seven teams, will witness the exciting encounters of 2023 finalists Meath meeting beaten 2023 semi-finalists Kilkenny and 2022 Premier Junior winners Antrim. The group is completed with counties Carlow, Kildare, Kerry and Dublin, who will be hoping to get their championship campaigns off to a positive start in 2024.

The Glen Dimplex Premier Junior Championship features two groups. Group 1 is set to be an exciting one, with five counties competing: Tipperary, Armagh, Tyrone, Down and Wicklow. Tipperary and Armagh both came close to Championship success in 2023 and will be looking to build on their campaigns this year. Wicklow will enter the competition with a new-found confidence after their Nancy Murray Cup success in 2023. Group 2 sees Laois, Roscommon, Cavan, Louth, Mayo and Limerick compete for Premier Junior success. The group sees four teams who qualified for the knockout stages in their respective 2023 competitions and three teams who continue to make great progress in their counties. Both groups promise to provide some exhilarating and competitive games throughout the season.

 Qualification criteria: As in previous years, six teams will qualify for the knockout stages of the Glen Dimplex Senior All-Ireland Championships, three from each group. The group winners will progress straight to the All-Ireland semi-finals on Saturday 27th July in UPMC Nowlan Park, Kilkenny.  The second and third placed teams will progress to the All-Ireland quarter-finals which will take place in Croke Park, ahead of the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-finals on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2024.

Qualification for the knockout stages of the Glen Dimplex Intermediate Championship is in line with the Senior Championship with the two group winners progressing straight to the semi-finals on Saturday 27th July. The second and third placed teams will play in the quarter-finals on Saturday 13th July 2024.

The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Glen Dimplex Premier Junior Championship semi-finals on Saturday 20th July 2024.
