Croke Park

Croke Park has been put on standby by the GAA as an alternative venue for both of this weekend’s All-Ireland senior club football semi-finals.

With the cold snap continuing to play havoc with fixtures, the rearranged meeting of Dr Crokes (Kerry) and Errigal Ciaran (Tyrone) was moved from Portlaoise to Newbridge during the week, while Coolera Strandhill (Sligo) and Cuala (Dublin) are scheduled to clash at Kingspan Breffni in the other semi-final as things stand.

RTE Sport reported yesterday (Thursday) that stewards at Croke Park were told that a final call as to where the semi-finals would be played will be made today.

Should the games be moved to headquarters then only the lower Hogan Stand would be open to spectators.
