Louth captain Sam Mulroy is set to miss the rest of his team’s Allianz Football League campaign after suffering a hamstring injury last weekend.

The injury saw Mulroy withdrawn after 28 minutes in the Wee County’s 2-11 to 0-12 win against Kildare in Ardee and he is now ruled out for the remainder of his team’s promotion push in Division 2.

Mickey Harte’s men have won their last three games but are now set to be without their Naomh Mairtin ace for the upcoming clashes against Cork (H) and Dublin (A).

The scan results this week mean that Mulroy is also likely to miss Louth’s Leinster championship quarter-final against Westmeath on April 23rd.
