Jackie Tyrrell criticised the match officials for not sending off at least two players during the Leinster SHC clash between Galway and Dublin.
The former Kilkenny star felt Dublin’s Conor Donohoe and Galway’s Daithí Burke were fortunate to stay on the field for challenges that went unpunished as the Tribesmen prevailed by 0-29 to 3-15 to set up a Leinster final meeting with Kilkenny.
“I would say it's probably one (red card) each on each side. I think Conor Donohoe and Daithí Burke are extremely lucky, they both should probably be (sent off),” he said during RTÉ’s coverage of the game at Parnell Park.
“Let’s be fair, the two of them should probably do the lotto tonight they're so lucky to be on the field.
“Conor Donohoe's, that is vicious. You could actually take the head off him doing that. How that was missed by the umpire a couple of feet in front of him, I don't know.
“They're both very lucky, they both should be down to 14 men at least.”
