It was the battle of the brothers in midfield during yesterday's Munster SFC quarter-final between Waterford and Tipperary at Fraher Field.

Rathgormack siblings Michael and Jason Curry lined out alongside each other in Waterford's engine rooom, while Conal and Jack Kennedy from the Clonmel Commercials club wore the opposite 8 and 9 numbers for Tipp, who eventually got to grips with the hosts to emerge 2-13 to 1-8 winners.

Stephen Curry, a cousin of Michael and Jason, started at centre-forward for Waterford.

A third Kennedy brother, Colman, who was part of Tipp's 2020 Munster SFC winning side, has been sidelined through injury.
