The Mayo flag is being flown at half mast at Hasting Insurance MacHale Park today as a mark of respect to the late Paddy Prendergast.
The last surviving member of the county’s 1951 All-Ireland winning team passed away last Saturday and his funeral is taking place in St John’s Church, Tralee this morning.
The Ballintubber native spent most of his adult life in Kerry having been stationed as a Garda in Tralee since the 1960s.
